Switching aggregators

An OpenRouter alternative for Russia

Evrona is a gateway to GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and other models through one API key and a shared prepaid balance. You top the balance up in rubles, and the service works from Russia without a VPN.

The API is OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible, so switching usually means replacing the base URL and the key: your SDK, prompts and application logic stay as they are.

Feature comparison

The table lists only features you can check: what Evrona offers and what foreign aggregators generally look like. Check a particular service's terms on its own website.

How to switch in a few minutes

No rewrite needed: you change the API address, the key and, if necessary, the model ids.

  1. Sign up and top up

    Create an account and redeem a top-up code in the dashboard — the amount lands on your balance right away.

  2. Create a key

    Create an ev-… key in the dashboard. Set a spending limit on it straight away if you want to cap costs.

  3. Replace the base URL and the key

    In the OpenAI SDK, point base_url at the Evrona address ending in /v1 and use the new key. The rest of the code stays the same.

  4. Check the model ids

    Exact model ids and prices are in the catalog. Put the id you need into the model parameter.

  5. Connect Claude Code

    Claude Code speaks the Anthropic protocol: set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL without /v1, put your Evrona key into ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN and a catalog model id into ANTHROPIC_MODEL.

OpenAI SDK: changing the base URL

The same OpenAI client with a different address and key. Python and JavaScript examples.

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    base_url="https://evrona.ru/v1",
    api_key="ev-YOUR_KEY",
)

response = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="google/gemini-3.7-flash",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello!"}],
)
print(response.choices[0].message.content)

Claude Code: ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL

Environment variables for your terminal, as in the Claude Code guide. The address goes without /v1: the client appends the path itself. ANTHROPIC_MODEL and the background models take a catalog model id.

bash / zsh
export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://evrona.ru
export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN=ev-YOUR_KEY
export ANTHROPIC_MODEL=google/gemini-3.7-flash
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL=google/gemini-3.7-flash
export ANTHROPIC_SMALL_FAST_MODEL=google/gemini-3.7-flash

FAQ

How does Evrona replace OpenRouter?

Evrona works the same way: one API key and one shared balance for models from different developers, through an OpenAI-compatible API. The Evrona balance is topped up in rubles with a top-up code, and the service works from Russia without a VPN.

Do I need to rewrite my code to switch?

No. The API is OpenAI-compatible: in the SDK you change the base URL and the key. Claude Code and other Anthropic clients get a compatible address for ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL.

How do I pay for Evrona from Russia?

Buy a top-up code for rubles and redeem it in the dashboard under Top-up — the amount is credited to your balance at once. No foreign card is needed.

Do I need a VPN?

No. The Evrona website, dashboard and API work from Russia without a VPN.

Can I cap spending per key?

Yes. Every key can have a daily, weekly or monthly spending limit and an access schedule, and a compromised key is paused with one click.

Which models are available?

GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and more. The current list with prices and model ids is in the catalog.

Try Evrona instead of OpenRouter

Sign-up and your first request take a couple of minutes. Top up in rubles, create a key and change the base URL.
