Grok via the Evrona gateway

Grok API: get a key and call Grok models

Evrona lets you call Grok models, built by xAI, through the Evrona gateway. It speaks the OpenAI API protocol, so you swap the base URL and key in the client you already use and your requests reach Grok — with one Evrona key shared across the catalog.

You don't need an xAI console account: an Evrona account, a ruble balance topped up with a code and a key are enough. Below are the Grok versions currently enabled in the catalog, their prices, how to get a key and a code sample.

You reach Grok models through the Evrona gateway. This is not an official Grok page: Evrona is an independent OpenAI-compatible gateway with its own key, balance and pricing.

Grok models on Evrona and their prices

This table lists the x-ai/ models in the Evrona catalog, priced per million input and output tokens. To call one, put its Model ID into the model field.

How to get a Grok API key

  1. Sign up

    Create an Evrona account with your email — it takes about a minute.

  2. Top up with a code

    Buy a top-up code in the store and redeem it in your dashboard. The amount lands on your prepaid balance right away.

  3. Create a key

    Create an ev-… API key in your dashboard. It works with Grok models and the rest of the catalog straight away, and you can put a spending cap on it.

Grok API request example

The gateway speaks the OpenAI API: set the base URL to https://evrona.ru/v1, use your Evrona key and pick a Model ID from the table. The example uses x-ai/grok-4.6.

curl

curl
curl https://evrona.ru/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ev-YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "x-ai/grok-4.6",
    "messages": [
      {
        "role": "user",
        "content": "Hi! Tell me about yourself in two sentences."
      }
    ]
  }'

OpenAI SDK: Python and JavaScript

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    base_url="https://evrona.ru/v1",
    api_key="ev-YOUR_KEY",
)

completion = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="x-ai/grok-4.6",
    messages=[
        {
            "role": "user",
            "content": "Hi! Tell me about yourself in two sentences."
        }
    ],
)
print(completion.choices[0].message.content)

Grok API pricing and payment

Grok versions differ in price and capabilities, so compare them in the table and try them on your own prompts before committing. Billing follows the actual input and output tokens of each request, with no monthly fee.

  • Prepaid balance: top up first, then send requests — no subscription and no monthly fee.
  • You top up in rubles with a top-up code that you redeem in your dashboard.
  • You pay only for actual usage at the rates in the table, and every request shows up in your history.

Grok API FAQ

How do I get a Grok API key?

Sign up for Evrona, top up with a code and create a key in the dashboard. The same ev-… key works for x-ai/grok-… Model IDs and the rest of the catalog — you don't need an xAI key.

Is this the official xAI API?

No. Evrona is an independent gateway, not an xAI service. Grok requests go through Evrona under our key, balance and pricing; xAI is mentioned only as the model developer.

Which Grok versions are available?

Every version listed in the table on this page. The catalog changes over time, so the table is always current, and switching versions is just a different Model ID.

What does the Grok API cost?

Input and output rates per million tokens are in the table and the Evrona catalog. You pay only for what you use, and the cost calculator gives a quick budget estimate.

How do I pay for Grok from Russia?

From your prepaid Evrona balance. Buy a top-up code for rubles, redeem it in the dashboard, and the funds are immediately available for Grok and any other model.

What code do I need to call Grok?

A regular OpenAI client: base URL set to Evrona's /v1, your Evrona key, and a Grok Model ID from the table as model. Copy-ready curl and Python samples are above on this page.

Start using Grok through Evrona
